This position is responsible for directing the editorial execution of our field newsletters / publications. Additionally, the position will support our communications consulting efforts by providing ad-hoc communications planning and writing support for our field organization with a primary focus on the Advice and Wealth Management segment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure content reflects our key field message priorities and is consistent across our various communications channels. Synthesize enterprise messages into integrated newsletters for various audiences.
  • Based on understanding of our field messaging priorities, identify or recommend prioritization and sequencing of topics as well as storyline opportunities as needed.
  • Support layout of content and newsletter creation using standard templates and appropriate software tools. Work with graphic designers to shape design and layouts for newsletters.
  • Work closely with experience team and communications consultants to ensure day-to-day execution meets the objectives of the enterprise editorial goals. Keep business leaders informed about content and schedules.
  • Coordinate content preparation and article writing with communications teams and subject matter experts. Work closely with experience and delivery teams and external vendors, as applicable, to create and distribute newsletters. Write and edit articles and content summaries as needed.
  • Measure results and effectiveness through audience feedback and core metrics. Use feedback and measures to influence business partners and leadership to make recommendations for continued improvements in content, design and delivery.
Communications consulting, planning and development
  • Build relationships with leaders, business partners and other stakeholders on assigned projects.
  • Prepare communications plans for assigned projects, contribute to various newsletters and e-magazines, and influence, write and edit business-as-usual communications.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communications in meeting the needs of our audiences and manage miscellaneous communications projects for the department.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Minimum of one year of progressive experience in communications or public relations.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated to seek out additional projects.
  • Willing to voice opinion and provide communications counsel.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills - including writing, editing and presentation development.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Experience working with cross-organizational teams.
  • Strong project management, interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Ability to think strategically, navigate complex situations, and influence people at various levels of the organization
  • Proactive approach and creative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
  • Undergraduate degree preferred in communications, journalism, English or equivalent related work experience
