Job Summary:

The primary role is to provide outpatient mental health therapy, assessment, and care coordination for children, youth, adults, and families impacted by complex trauma and various forms of violence (interpersonal, sexual, sexual exploitation). Strong assessment and treatment skills are essential. Significant experience in working with people of different cultures and marginalized populations. This position may work in all of Cornerstone's office locations in Bloomington, Brooklyn Park, and Minneapolis.

Preferred Education:

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or related Social Science. Preference will be given to candidates who have or are pursuing licensure in their field of study (LICSW, LMFT, LP, LPCC)

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain compliance with community practice standards; complete diagnostic assessments, closing summaries, progress notes, and clinical treatment plans as required.
  • Provide therapeutic services to clients across the lifespan from children to adults(includes individual, family, and/or group therapy).
  • Conduct crisis and/or mental health screening to determine service needs Complete safety plan with clients as needed.
  • Facilitate support groups and/or therapeutic groups as needed.
  • Providing care coordination for clients and their families that includes working with external agencies to support clients and provide referrals to resources.
  • Maintain effective and timely communication and documentation regarding services and client status.
