Role & Responsibility

Please review the below job descriptions for some of the entry-level finance and accounting opportunities currently offered by Doosan Bobcat:

 

Accounting

 
  • Complete monthly and quarterly closing process, including variance analysis and footnote preparation
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for monthly accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury activities
  • Accurately reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and work with appropriate teams to timely resolve any reconciling items
  • Research and identify appropriate resolution for any identified variances
  • Submit and reconcile monthly trial balance information for North America business units as assigned
  • Assist with finance related projects as assigned
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Work with external auditors on various requests for analysis and information
  • Assist in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger
  • Assist in periodic activities such as internal controls, annual plan, physical inventory, annual standard setting, etc.
  • Manage Fixed asset sub ledger
  • Fixed asset audits
  • Manage lease accounting and reporting as related to IFRS 16 standard

 

Finance

 
  • Monthly closing process including accrual analysis, subledger analysis, and expense analysis
  • Analysis and submission of monthly Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and variance from forecast
  • Provide management with monthly analysis of actual performance vs. forecast, plan, and prior year
  • Implement and enhance accounting systems/procedures that will improve efficiencies and internal controls
  • Balance Sheet account reconciliation of Accounts payable, Fixed Assets, etc.
  • Work with external auditors on various requests for analysis and information
  • Actively participate on cross-functional teams
  • Work with departmental managers on monthly expense explanations/analysis and budget preparation
  • Assist in preparation of strategic plan


Job Requirement

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with Finance/Accounting Concentration
  • Experience Required: 0>2 years.  Knowledge of financial accounting. Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Oracle and SAP experience is a plus.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office Suite competency, including strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
