In this role, you will:
  • Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
  • Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
  • Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
  • Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • The primary role of this position is to provide day-to-day Exchange technical support and ensure availability of the large on premise production Exchange environment through proactive monitoring and fast responsiveness to any issues.
  • Participate in tech refresh of the environment, migration of mailboxes to Exchange Online, and continued support of a hybrid Exchange environment.
  • This role also supports several monitoring and reporting applications (SCOM, GroupID, and other in-house developed tools). Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Review, prepare and test change requests and work with night team as needed on implementation to ensure success. Assesses changes for risk to Production systems and assure that security, risk and quality requirements are being met and that all validations are adequate.
  • Interact and communicate frequently within own team and with other teams (IT Service Desk, Messaging Client Services, Distributed Systems, Network, F5).
  • Review and participate in Business Continuity Planning and simulation tests. Ensures timely workflow. Participate in on-call rotation that provides 24x7 support that may require limited nights/weekends.
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of back end experience supporting a broad enterprise messaging environment with at least 25,000 Microsoft Exchange Server mailboxes
  • 4+ years of technical troubleshooting experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 1 + year of PowerShell scripting experience
  • 1+ year of Splunk experience
  • 1+ year of Automation Tools experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile Kanban
  • Experience with Jira
  • Experience with Exchange Server versions 2016 or 2019 in a multi-server on-premise environment.
  • Experience with M365 Hybrid Exchange Online migration and support.
  • Knowledge and understanding of network concepts and design
  • Operating System Knowledge (Windows 2016 / 2019)
  • Ability to interact effectively at varying levels of the business and technical organizations; including management (auto added)
  • Strong team or technical leadership experience (auto added)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills (auto added)
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology support: on call rotational staff, within a 24x7 large enterprise
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology support: event analytics and incident handling
  • Experience determining the root cause of identified issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology monitoring: applications to ensure 24x7 uptime
  • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and follow specific guidelines
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Sendmail / Proofpoint helpful
