Excellent opportunity at our client company in Glenwood! We're hiring an Outsourcing Assistant, where you'll be responsible for supporting outsourcing strategies to achieve quality, cost and delivery performance objectives. Main duties include:

  • Work with Engineering, Quality and Production Control to support first-time new product outsourcing opportunities
  • Assist in identifying and supporting qualification of new suppliers to support outsourcing objectives
  • Enter sales and purchase orders, updating documents as needed
  • Create print packets to be sent for quoting
  • Prepare RFQ for outsourcing projects
  • Documentation of department metrics
  • Work with planning and sales team on speed of orders
  • Performance reviews of outsourcers to ensure performance objectives are met

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of production or purchasing experience and:

  • Experience working with multiple locations
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude, with ability to read technical diagrams to determine product specs
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Ability to travel to supplier locations as needed
  • Functional knowledge of international and domestic purchasing methods and CPSM certification preferred
This is a temp-to-hire role, with core hours of 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri. Pay is $17-25/hour, depending on experience.
