If you are a PROJECT MANAGEMENT professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our CUDAHY, WI location and under the direction of the Account Delivery Manager, the Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the team's successful delivery of Engineer to Order (ETO) and Configure to Order (CTO) customer projects, while creating an exceptional customer buying experience. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of moderate to large-scale client engagements and/or multiple smaller engagements across multiple accounts. You will work closely with the project team that includes sales, application engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, planning, purchasing, production, finance, logistics, and field services for the successful delivery of client projects. You are expected to be customer-focused - developing deep meaningful customer relationships while meeting Vilter and Emerson's business objectives.

AS A PROJECT MANAGER, YOU WILL:

* Initiate, plan, execute, and control complex refrigeration and gas compression projects using a formal project management methodology to deliver on customer requirements, including on-time delivery of all deliverables.
* Ensure accountability across the organization to deliver to our customer's expectations - clearly convey to all functional areas the critical path milestones to meet customer expectations. Cross-functional communication is essential.
* Monitor project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, and schedule.
* Manage project scope creep and margin erosion with the expectation that effective project management will increase project gross margin.
* Develop strong customer relationships to favorably position Vilter for future business.
* Adhere to Program Management Office (PMO) policies, procedures, and methodologies.
* Continuously communicate with customers to instill trust in our capabilities.
* Manage multiple high-level customer accounts and projects.
* Develop and present project-related presentations for executive leadership.
* Work with project management team members on creating and improving project management processes and tools.
* Clearly represent the team's consensus in all client communications.
* Review drafts of deliverables with the team.
* Ensure customer approvals and sign-offs on all major deliverables.
* Identify and mitigate project/program risks.
* Advocate for the customer's philosophy both internally and externally while balancing Vilter's business objectives.
* Negotiate and resolve high-level customer issues.
* Foster cross-functional communications on all levels.

Required Skills - External

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

* Bachelor's degree
* Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional project execution experience with significant customer interaction
* High proficiency with project management software packages and Microsoft Office suite
* Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills (able to lead client meetings with senior personnel, able to create and deliver persuasive presentations, etc.)
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
* Ability to travel up to 15% of time
* Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) or a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
* Seven (7)+ years of relevant professional project execution experience with significant customer interaction
* Project Management Professional (PMP)
* Refrigeration industry experience or oil and gas industry experience

Schedule

The facility works 24 hours a day and typically 5 days a week. Our core office hours range anywhere between 7 am - 5 am, and are flexible given we work together to best support business demands as well as the needs of our customers around the world.
