JOB DESCRIPTION
The Accounting Manager reports to the Vice President of Finance. This role's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, coordinating & processing payroll, performing account reconciliations, period close, assisting with budget development, conducting internal audits, and providing oversight for A/R and A/P processes and documentation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the financial reporting process, including general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entries. Produce complete, accurate, timely and consistent monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
Ensure processes adhere to policies and internal control best practices and audit standards.
Design and implement operational practices that drive standardization, efficiency and automation of processes
Partner cross-functionally to provide excellent customer service and ensure financial reporting / data needs are being met
Be the point of escalation for accounting and business process owners and ensure timely remediation of issues
Supports all financial reviews and audits, including reviews and audits by independent accountants, customers, or vendors
Manage third party providers to ensure all requirements are met or exceeded
Collaborate with suppliers and customers as needed to resolve AR and AP issues
Assist in / recommend the deployment of available and emerging technology platforms to deliver continuous improvement and drive efficiencies.
Maintain confidentiality of all financial information and business decisions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or accounting, CPA preferred
5+ years of demonstrated accounting experience, working knowledge of GAAP
Experience with NetSuite, Smartsheets, and MS Office Suite preferred
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
