Responsibilities - TripleTree's fast-paced and entrepreneurial culture afford Associates the opportunity to play a critical role in the overall success of the firm. In this role, Associates are assigned a variety of projects with a broad range of responsibilities, including:

Assisting the senior bankers and clients throughout the transaction process by:

  • Completing detailed due diligence on new clients, including routine meetings with management to gain a thorough understanding of the business
  • Preparing detailed analyses to effectively model the client's financial forecasts, providing basis for company valuations and financial / business due diligence
  • Developing high-quality marketing material and process update presentations
  • Identifying and researching potential buyers or investors for sell-side mandates
  • Conducting the execution phase of the engagement, coordinating due diligence efforts between parties
  • Managing and coaching junior banking team members
  • Staying abreast of new developments within specific healthcare segments by:
  • Monitoring the activities of potential buyers, including direct briefings with industry leaders to obtain unique insights related to their strategic priorities
  • Tracking recent M&A activity and trends in the industry
  • Following the financial performance of public companies within the sector

Assisting in the prospect/business development generation by:

  • Preparing client proposals and presentations
  • Building relationships and maintaining contact with prospective clients

Leading the research, positioning and writing of TripleTree thought leadership (e.g. blogs, research etc.)

Qualifications - Ideal candidates for the Associate position will possess the following skills, qualities, and experience:

  • 2-4 years of investment banking, corporate development or business valuation experience with a proven ability to manage transaction processes
  • Advanced financial, valuation, and analytical skills coupled with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal / written communication and the ability to form effective working relationships
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple projects in an organized and efficient manner
  • Strong work ethic and motivated to become a thought leader in healthcare
  • Series 79 and 63 licenses (or ability to obtain)

Strong consideration will be given to candidates who possess:

  • Prior investment banking experience as an analyst or associate
  • An undergraduate degree with academic distinction
  • An MBA or CFA designation
  • A deep understanding of the healthcare industry
