Job Description:

Lead new product initiatives thorough the new product development process - ensuring propeller programs reach the market on time and on budget. Lead product planning, marketing, business case development and new product development related to Mercury Propellers adjacent propeller segments. Initiatives will culminate in increased product line efficiency, external market growth and increased financial contributions.

Function as a liaison, facilitating communication between engineering, operations, marketing and Mercury Propellers suppliers. Act as a resource for Mercury employees, globally, responding to technical product related inquiries, concerns and quality related requests. Manage adjacent propeller segments as a business, support corporate goals and ensure market competitiveness. Communicate cross-functionally throughout the organization to achieve results.

Key Responsibilities:

* Guide new product development activities using Mercury's High-Performance Product Development Process (HPPD) from concept phase through start of production

* Develop business case/cost estimates for new product programs

* Develop detailed project timelines and implement global product plans, with a primary focus on product lifecycle management

* Break down barriers and propose innovative solutions to technical issues

* Present project updates on propeller program initiatives to senior leadership and program teams

* Serve as a liaison between engineering/marketing/supply chain/manufacturing/purchasing and quality to communicate project plans and resolve technical issue

Experience and Skills:

* BS/BA degree in Business or Engineering required

* Proven leadership ability

* Verbal and written skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

* Ability to read engineering prints and understand technical specifications

* Organizational skills necessary to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Ability to create and monitor complex schedules

* Knowledge of manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, finance and the boating industry is ideal

* 4 years project/program management experience in durable goods and good technical aptitude

* Background in casting and/or machining a plus
