Overview

Full time, benefited position working 72-80 hours every two week pay period. Days of work are Monday-Friday with hours of 8:00am-4:30pm. However, some events will require evening and weekend work.

The JRMC Marketing Department is responsible for managing the JRMC brand, providing insight and guidance, generating and managing relationships and supporting growth.

Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for maintaining and strengthening JRMC and its brand. The purpose of this role is to champion, create, organize and execute promotional and communication opportunities for the marketing team, primarily internally. This position champions all messages and communication tools impacting JRMC employees, including leaders.

The Marketing Specialist treats employees as stakeholders and ensures quality communication to achieve organizational excellence. Those communication opportunities include, but are not limited to maintaining and further developing the employee intranet (TheCore), proper execution of JRMC documents and presentations, design and workflow set-up, employee forums, quality of and access to corporate collateral (business cards, letterhead, notecards, etc.) and the presentation of JRMC public marketing messages and/or image found on the JRMC Campus.

The Marketing Specialist also supports the department manager and marketing's special projects.

The Marketing Specialist must be able to work in an office setting and also travel around the campus and the community. This person will regularly collaborate with employees and key stakeholders. The role can be fast-paced and demanding. The Marketing Specialist will champion many responsibilities at the same time, face numerous deadlines and fulfill the internal communication needs for a broad range of teams. This position must be flexible and embrace change.

Responsibilities

Job Functions
  • develops marketing collateral as it relates to internal communication
  • collaborates with Marketing Manager, Strategic Planner and VPs to develop market analysis and marketing plans
  • champions the execution of marketing's role in celebrating internal and external awards
  • promotes and represents JRMC at community engagement committee events, fundraisers, hospital tours, etc. and organizes these opportunities
  • maintains and develops great relationships with key partners and employees
  • works proactively and supports the Foundation and all JRMC departments with internal event and communication needs
  • aids in development of recruitment tools
  • manages JRMC's presence on internal and external event calendars
  • ad hoc production needs (i.e., lamination, printing, assembly, folding) that are completed internally
  • champions the execution of all routine imprint-able items, including clothing, gifts and swag
  • supports tracking and measuring of marketing programs and events
  • serves as a member of at least one community group, service club or Chamber committee
  • other duties as assigned



Knowledge, skills and experience preferred:
  • strong knowledge of web structure, particularly intranet functions, online form development and web-based workflows
  • strong ability to develop messages in a way that engages employee interest and communicates "the why"
  • excellent organizational skills
  • excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • excellent analytical skills and a knack for data analysis
  • strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
  • experience with marketing communications and marketing plans
  • proficient in AP Style
  • proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
  • ability to work independently as well as in a team environment


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Business, Marketing, Communications or related area

Work requires one to three years of experience in marketing, communications, event planning, public speaking, fundraising or similar field which builds and maintains relationships. Must have excellent planning, organization, communication, and follow-up skills. Strong attention to detail is a must. Experience with writing, website updates, design programs such as the Adobe Creative Suite are required.
