Position Summary:

The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible to provide technical support of facility project planning with engineering and construction project management expertise. This person will work cross-functionally to assist with the design, construction, and commissioning execution at multiple project scales and delivery methods.

The ideal candidate for this role has proven ability to identify and resolve issues resourcefully and independently, and will work to understand key business drivers, applying this knowledge to decision making.

Specific Responsibilities:

* Provide technical engineering insight throughout the design and implementation phases of a project, considering facility infrastructure capacity, constraints and operational needs,

* Schedule internal project review meetings, review materials and methods, coordinate with Facility Engineers, Project Managers, stakeholders, other support personnel,

* Coordinate MEP shutdowns to minimize downtime to active processes,

* Lead and coordinate the Facilities Change Management process. This includes assessing the impact of change on validated and qualified spaces and systems to ensure a state of compliance is maintained,

* Define and evaluate the stakeholder objectives for small projects and execute solution implementation,

* Create schedules, manage vendors and provide collaboration and oversight on small construction and infrastructure projects,

* Participate in the creation of engineering specifications and sustainability goals,

* Review project shop drawings and submittals for compliance and completeness,

* Investigate and troubleshoot problems during construction and start-up as needed to support the construction team,

* Attend meetings with architects and subcontractors, convey information to internal engineering team,

* QC field installations, ensuring work complies with applicable codes, specifications, and drawings,

* Daily operational support and other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications:

* Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications and the preparation of diagrams, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.

* Must understand advanced principles and practices of construction and contract administration.

* Must possess strong grasp of architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building management automation systems and engineering concepts.

* General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes, and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction of projects.

* Basic understanding and practical experience with cGMP regulations and requirements for facilities and utilities for medical device manufacturing is preferred.

* Experience with CAD drafting and Bluebeam is preferred.

Education:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required

* Minimum of 5 years project experience working in the construction industry required

* Experience with large manufacturing and laboratory facilities sites preferred.
