Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative - Scheduling Support will serve in a dual role and will be responsible for supporting the scheduling department with administrative duties and the customer service department in communicating with customers regarding processing incoming orders, releases, purchase orders and communicating material availability. Provide premier service and sales support, orders and deliveries.

Must be authorized to work in U.S.A. The company is not able to sponsor visas at this time.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assume on-going phone service and internet requests. Respond to email and phone requests from customer's inquiries (re: stock checks, order status, tracking info, ordering memo samples/product cards, etc.)
  • Complete accurate order entries and inform customers on availability of materials
  • Coordinate production scheduling with customer service lead to meet expected customer order due date
  • Collaborate with the quality department to release products placed on restrictions to determine compliance with customer specification
  • Collaborate with the Scheduling Manager in managing and communicating information to the production departments to assure alignment of production goals with scheduling capabilities
  • Review entered orders for required schedule adjustments based on material or machine availability
  • Assemble necessary paperwork and disseminate it to the appropriate departments
  • Collaborate with Scheduling Manager to plan and schedule products using SAP
  • Must comply with IATF and ISO requirements and audits.
  • Additional duties as necessary to support inventory management and customer service

Experience, Skills and Abilities

  • Expertise in managing expectations with professionalism and courteousness
  • Able to problem solve and apply critical thinking skills to issue at hand
  • Ability to multi-task to manage the dual requirements of this role
  • Detail oriented to manage the data entry requirements of the dual responsibilities
  • Strong organization skills
  • Expertise with ERP systems, SAP preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office application capabilities (Excel, Word)
  • Self-starter with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

Education and Technical Requirements

  • High school or GED and experience in an applicable industry
  • Two or more years of experience supporting demanding customer expectations in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
