Job Summary:

The Doctor of Physical Therapy program within the School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a part-time Lecturer position. The person in this position will work as a lab assistant in both neurological course labs and Pro bono clinic. They must have a DPT or a PT, MPT with a terminal degree (tDPT, DCS, PhD, EDd, etc.) and hold a an active license in the state of WI. Working and coordinating with the Neuro course instructors, this position will assist in bi-weekly lab sessions and weekly pro bono clinic. This position will engage with student learners and community members.

Responsibilities:Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for a single course or series of courses within an academic discipline to support the delivery of quality instruction. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record.

Education:

Required

PhD or other terminal degree, or a degree at least one level above the level of instruction, or otherwise approved as qualified by the Dean

Qualifications:

Required:

- A DPT degree or a PT degree with an advanced terminal degree.

- Clinical experience in working with patients with neurological conditions.

- Ability to follow lab lesson plans

- Confidence in integrating science with clinical skills

- Strong interpersonal skills.

Work Type:

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
