Thundar's Game Room Coord

Position Information

Description & Details:

Provide day-to-day leadership and management to Thundar's Game Room, a multi-use recreational facility including bowling, billiards, eSports, and other gaming; manage a staff of 8-10 students; lead and direct the new eSports program including administrative oversight and daily operations; teach 2-3 HNES classes (e.g. bowling & billiards) each semester under the supervision of HNES department; work closely with other Memorial Union staff members to direct and manage marketing and promotion of programs and services.

Work Schedule:

Primarily Monday-Friday, 8a-5p. Occasional nights and weekend required

Advertised Salary:

$43,000+

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA Degree
• Knowledge and understanding of recreational activities and program coordination
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work well with diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or Experience in Sports Management, Physical Education, Business, Hospitality, or related fields
• Experience with supervision of part-time employees or students
• Comfortable with computer hardware/software troubleshooting
• Experience working in a college union setting
• Teaching experience
• Experience with eSports / Computer gaming
• Willingness and aptitude to learn the maintenance and upkeep of bowling alley equipment.
