The Sales Operations Specialist Sr. is responsible for execution of sales support and administration activities for major rental companies, key accounts, and government accounts. This position’s main responsibilities will be to provide regular sales policy and process guidance and training to the sales team; including proactively identifying and recommending ways to improve the current sales processes with the goals of improving decision quality, reducing sales cycle time, improving scalability, and improving efficiency by working with other Bobcat departments. This position will also need to input and fulfill customer purchase orders and ensure that all support and administration functions of the sales team are operating effectively. The position will be responsible for identifying and maintaining performance metrics to effectively support the team needs in order to be a marketplace leader and make Bobcat easier to do business with.

Role & Responsibility

  • Manage and support direct report(s) with day to day functions
  • Support the end-of-month, end-of-quarter sales effort by assisting in driving all sales orders and approvals through internal processing
  • Manage transfer process, implementation and tracking
  • Manage commissions process and implementation
  • Manage project teams to accomplish key initiatives for the Inside Sales Team
  • Participate in trade shows on as needed basis
  • Provide dealer support to include: order tracking, change order requests, credit and re-bill of dealer machines to customers, notification of order correspondence, payment of commissions, customer delivery tracking for all factory orders, payment of servicing fee for all delivered factory orders, researching and application of credits and debits
  • Manage & improve invoicing processes
  • Direct data order entry of customer's purchase orders, including order entry, order tracking & order maintenance
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to achieve maximum sales and customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with our customers
  • Troubleshoot issues, resolve problems, documentation, communicate resolution with key stakeholders
  • To support implementation of PRIME, Oracle, OSS, Bobquote/CPQ, and other company initiatives as required
  • Generating key sales reports (eg retail spreadsheet, backlog report, open order reports)
  • Assist with quotes and orders for complex deals


Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or related field
  • Experience Required: 3>6 years

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide quick turnaround response to customers
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge and improve upon existing processes
  • Takes initiative and brings impeccable follow-up skills
  • Shows good time management, project planning and project management skills in order to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates effective communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and industry
  • Demonstrates ability to be self-motivated, detail oriented and well organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Excel with success in maintaining and organizing data
  • Able to build positive business relationships and work collaboratively across organizational boundaries

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
