Position Summary:
Serve customers by installing and servicing commercial door openings and applications with your company vehicle. Provide superior customer
service and present a positive, professional image to customers, clients and employees in all interactions.
(certification can be received after hire) Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete scheduled service requests within scheduled timeframe
- Install and service commercial steel frames, steel/wood doors, architectural hardware, and access
control systems
- Perform onsite welding and modification work on steel doors and frames if needed
- Maintain professional demeanor with clients and customers while performing onsite work
- Complete installation/service with as little disruption or impact to surroundings as possible
- Carry out all work performed in the safest possible manner; following all safety SOP's and onsite
- safety guidelines and requirements
- Manage assigned schedule and document service and installation activities
- Post accurate and complete SharePoint requests with pertinent information for all service work

- Arrive on time to site and complete service work in scheduled timeframe
- Communicate with Service Manager, Project Manager or Salesperson if any issues arise before,
- after or while onsite; communicate with the customer about the issue
- Repair, troubleshoot, and retrofit existing openings and products
- Conduct service calls to assess issues and determine proper course of action
- Complete service onsite if able using available tools, product, equipment
- Communicate with Service Manager or Salesperson to assist in ordering product needed to
- complete service work
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and other company property
- Ensure all routine maintenance is completed timely and any problems with vehicle are immediately
- reported to Service Manager or Director of Tactical Operations
- Operate vehicles, tools and equipment for intended use only
- Follow Organization and Service Technicians policies and all and jobsite/onsite safety
- policies
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in Production Shops and with projects if not performing onsite work
- Develop and broaden industry and product knowledge by attending Manufacturer Certification trainings or
industry supported educational events and classes
Measures of Performance/Competencies:
- Complete daily work in established time frame with minimal errors
- Follow all established safety, PPE, and organizational rules/policies/procedures
- Consistent and dependable attendance and quality of work
- Follow reporting processes and documentation for completed installs
- Provide superior customer service with professionalism
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum two years basic carpentry experience
- Power Limited Technician certificate or low voltage experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of welding machines and basic hand tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to follow written, visual (drawings or images), and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Position requires a valid driver's license, insurability to drive under Organization's insurance policy, and
valid DOT certificate
- Ability to travel, work evenings, weekends, and overnight as needed
- OSHA10 Certification
Working Conditions: Work conditions and work hours will change daily based scheduled service needs.
Indoor/outdoor environments ranging from construction sites to finished buildings. Cell phone and email used
daily. Daily use of company vehicle.
