Job Summary:

Assists with managing operations of the Cage while ensuring adequate currency and chips for successful operation of the Card Casino and Racing. Supervises and directs the work of team members. Complies with all federal and state regulating guidelines as well as department procedures are complied with to safeguard Canterbury Park's assets. Adheres to our mission of providing Fun and Games like no place else.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead by example
Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, delegates effectively and provides suggestions for enhancements to senior management.
Safeguard Canterbury Park's assets.
Must adhere to all aspects of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and BSA (Bank Security Act) program and its current regulations; including, but not limited to, Title 31 cash transactions, suspicious activity reporting and customer identification requirements.
Responsible for providing positive customer service, team member relations, and conflict resolution to assure internal and external guests have the "Canterbury Way" experience.
Assist in the development of staff, including, but not limited to, providing regular performance management, coaching, training, counseling, recognition, development opportunities.
Handles all customers' inquiries, disputes, and concerns revolving around ATMs, Cash advances, and check cashing.
Maintain positive working relationships with contracted vendors and other department managers.
Must have general knowledge of operations in the following areas: Mutuels, Guest Services, MVP, Lottery, Card Club promotions and tournaments, Marketing promotions and department banks and deposit.
Maintain cash levels in ATMs and cash recyclers. Provide entry level service and replenishments of ATM's and cash recyclers.
Manage department's financial data through reports, including, but not limited to tax forms and foreign withholding.
Communicate department objectives to Cash Operations employees.
Provide daily, weekly and monthly financial reports to the appropriate departments within the required time frame with accuracy.
Maintain the Cash Operations policy and procedure manuals.
Maintain responsibility for sensitive keys, including key inventory.
Assist in development of departmental budgets.
Provide department coverage when needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Supervision:

Supervise daily operations of cage personnel including supervisors, leads, and cashiers.

Required Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.
4+ years of supervisory experience in a cash service environment.
Knowledge of gaming and cash operations policies and procedures.
Ability to make management decisions in a timely manner.
Excellent leadership and problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must complete BSA training and pass exam with a minimum of 85%.
Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check and verification of work history.
Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Basic knowledge of current office computer software.
