POSITION OVERVIEW

is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to join our rapidly growing team. They will focus on designing digital and blended learning content, partnering with program managers and subject matter experts to keep content relevant and updated, and continuing to help refine our current training offering. The ideal candidate will be comfortable functioning in a consultative role, creating digital learning content, creating instructor-led and blended learning content, writing storyboards and scripts, leading design and development meetings with program managers and subject matter experts, working in an iterative design process alongside eLearning developers, and have a can-do attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Instructional Designer's primary job responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and assess instructor-led, eLearning, and blended curricula, independently or in collaboration with the Partner Education team
  • Partner with program managers to design certifications, onboarding, customer support, and instructor-led training programs
  • Create eLearning and video storyboards, interactive labs and exercises, workshop seminars, multimedia content, PowerPoints, instructor-led courses, faciliator guides, and lesson plans (VILT & ILT)
  • Select and deploy appropriate and useful evaluation approaches, synthesize that feedback, and use it to identify performance gaps in courses, curricula, and programs
  • Collaborate with Systems Operations, Project Management, and Partner Education to build and manage eLearning and in-person solution architecture
  • Review and shape design documents for curriculum, ensuring that it clearly outlines the scope and depth of each topic area being covered, and that delivery approaches are clearly identified, such as opportunities for hands-on learning or group activities
  • Revise work created by content developers, ensuring a high level of quality of its visual, informational, and learning designs
  • Proficient in the platform, partner tools, hardware, and supporting technology
  • Performs curriculum revisions to ensure materials are current and relevant, lead and perform adaptations to curriculum which may include development of new learning materials.
  • Design creative synchronous & asynchronous content by using various technology platforms and tools like: Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, PPT, Pendo, Slack, Vyond Video, Camtasia, Mentimeter, etc
  • Create learner materials including workbooks, study guides, PPTs, activities, handouts, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree, master's degree or certification in instructional design a plus
  • 5 - 7 years of instructional design or equivalent experience
  • Experience or familiarity with enterprise software training development, or related technical field
  • Experience applying instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, The Kirkpatrick model of evaluation, etc.) in a production environment
  • Experience organizing complex information and content from a variety of sources into a coherent and logical outline and narrative
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools: Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, or comparable tools for developing interactive learning experiences, and familiarity with publishing standards like SCORM, xAPI, and cmi5
  • Proven experience applying Adult Learning Theory to create courseware, including identifying learning objectives and outcomes, course scripts, and course storyboards
  • Strong communication skills, especially written; able to translate complex concepts into appropriate language for a wide range of learners with varying backgrounds
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines
  • Effectively deals with ambiguity and takes action without every detail present
  • Exceptionally creative, collaborative, and truly excited about building interactive training content
