In this growth role you will work closely with entire complement of principals, managers and other team members providing the highest quality auditing and accounting services for our clients. For our state and local government clients, CLA's assurance services extend to specialized areas including benefit plan audits, internal audit assistance, service organization controls (SOC) reviews, and customized agreed upon procedures engagements. If you have State and Local Government experience, then we are very interested in hearing from you. Other industry experience will be considered.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures impacting industry-specific issues
* Audit complex areas/transactions as well as prepare financial statements and related reports
* Schedule, delegate, and review the work of staff
* Supervise, train, and mentor staff
* Keep manager/principal informed of engagement status and issues
* Proactively interact and communicate with clients to gather information to ensure timely engagement wrap-up
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required
* Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is required
* 1+ years public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations is required
* Prior experience with an established public accounting and/or professional services firm is preferred
