Seeking an exceptional writer, strategic thinker and passionate employee engagement advocate to develop and deliver communications strategies, tactics and tools supporting enterprise-wide communications initiatives. Partner with executives, leaders and business groups to successfully implement communication objectives and strategies and drive meaningful results. Support business unit leaders and Corporate Communications team members in creating effective messages through stellar writing, coaching, development and influencing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide communications counsel for senior leaders and serve as trusted advisor to executives and senior leaders across the enterprise.
  • Proactively develop and deliver compelling, consistent, integrated message strategies for leaders and employees. Create engaging, relevant speeches, presentations, conference call scripts, memos, and web articles . Analyze effectiveness of leader and employee communications and develop strategies/recommendations to refine on an agile basis, as appropriate.
  • Lead team to deliver high-value communications support
  • Help ensure we have the right resources, aligned appropriately to meet the needs of the enterprise, department and groups you support. Provide leadership and support for cross-organizational communications projects as appropriate. Build competencies and leadership through coaching, performance reviews and development plans. Lead one direct report.
  • Develop, manage and implement communications plans
  • Develop communications plans that align with the company's editorial strategy to address key business priorities. Coordinate messages to ensure consistency across communications channels. Develop creative solutions, leveraging different communications formats/channels as appropriate, manage implementation of plans, and test new approaches. Write, edit and coordinate communications and web content for our audiences.
  • Lead strategic communications consulting to meet business objectives
  • Consult with leaders on strategies to meet their needs, along with those of the company and our audiences. Bring a company-wide view to developing strategies and recommendations and ensure messaging is integrated and aligned across communications channels. Work with the communications delivery and editorial teams to prioritize and sequence communications and messages.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communications in meeting audience and business partner needs. Effectively connect communications efforts to business objectives and results, and partner with leaders to adjust where necessary.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of retail financial services.
  • People leadership experience.
  • Strong influencing skills and proven effectiveness in consulting with different business areas.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Some financial services experience.
  • Internal communications experience.
  • Experience working in a global organization or with a distributed field or advisor force.
