This full-time, permanent Electrical Engineering Industrial Controls Manager career opportunity is at a financially stable, employee-owned company that created their dynamic industry. A new software conversion to SolidWorks from AutoCAD is on the horizon.

There is no travel associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

  • Performing the duties of a hands on working manager
  • Managing electrical engineering projects including the conversion from AutoCAD to SolidWorks
  • Managing, leading and training a small team of electrical designers and possibly an outside contractor
  • Scheduling electrical engineering resources and projects
  • Ensuring project timelines are met
  • Creating designs in AutoCAD Electrical prior to the conversion
  • Creating designs in SolidWorks Electrical after the conversion
  • Creating electrical controls
  • Handling internal and external customer needs
  • Researching, troubleshooting and solving problems
  • Participating in the design of electrical systems and control systems

The successful candidates' backgrounds will include:

  • A four year degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Eight or more years of electrical engineering design experience in a production environment
  • Eight or more years of experience programming electrical controls in a production environment
  • Four or more years of experience leading other engineers
  • Possess some SolidWorks Electrical experience
  • Possess some AutoCAD Electrical experience
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
