COMMUNITY OUTREACH MANAGER

Role Clarity:

Relationship Building & Community Partnerships ???

Serve as the CFCS representative to parishes and communities ???

Build relationships with staff from CFCS locations, the Catholic diocese, priests, parish staff, and local community leaders and organizations ???

Build collaborative partnerships with community organizers to support "causes" that align with CFCS values and Catholic faith Parish Outreach Coordination ???

Follow The CFCS Way for Parish Outreach processes and procedures ??? Conduct meetings with priests to discuss Outreach process, benefits, and partnership ??? Work with parish staff to obtain information and materials for outreach deliverables ???

Coordinate with CFCS Marketing to prepare parish, marketing, and mail house deliverables ??? Conduct outreaches, engage with families, and collect family information cards ??? Publish monthly schedule for parish outreach (and community) events Community Events Coordination ???

Identify appropriate community events for educating families on the Order of Christian Funerals, CFCS Mission Programs and services, and the benefits of Advanced Planning ??? Communicate with event coordinators on event details and requirements ???

Coordinate with CFCS Marketing on pre-event promotion and event deliverables ??? Conduct events, engage with families, and collect family information cards Grief Ministry Program Support ??? Conduct CFCS Grief Ministry Program within the diocese ??? Build relationships with churches and provide support for their grief programs ??? Build relationships with local community grief support programs and educate on CFCS Grief Ministry Program ??? Submit Grief Ministry reports on CFCS regional and diocesan efforts and results Administration ??? Monitor and maintain outreach and community event budgets and expense controls ??? Monitor and maintain inventories of event materials, supplies, and promotional products ???

The Outreach Manager serves as the CFCS liaison and advocate for educating families on CFCS educational, mission, and grief ministry programs; products and services; and the benefits of Advanced Planning. Outreach Managers will demonstrate by example, CFCS' Core Values-Share the Journey, Serve with Care, and Make It Happen-in all their dealings with families, staff, and internal/external contacts.

Education & Experience ??? College degree preferred, and/or 1-3 years of direct experience presenting to the public, working with public organizers, and providing customer service ??? 1-3 years serving in parish, pastoral, or Catholic ministry positions a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities ??? Knowledge of the Catholic faith, rituals, and traditions ??? Understanding of the Order of Christian Funerals ??? Able to conduct oneself with a "Family First" approach ??? Familiar with marketing research and competitor analysis methods ??? Proven record of building relationships and networking within the community ??? Strong public-facing presentation and influencing skills ??? Able to plan and coordinate medium to large size outreach and community events ??? Creative in getting out the right message to the right audience ???

Experience with special event planning and coordination ??? Familiar with the grief process and content is a plus ??? Possess the ability and willingness to help others and share expert knowledge ??? Proficient in the use of computers, software, and technology ??? Bilingual preferred Licenses & Certifications Valid state issued driver's license, good driving record, and proof of insurance is required Physical Requirements ??? Ability to lift, carry, or move objects weighing between 30-50 lbs. ???
