Tax Accountant - Technology Focus - Hybrid in Minnetonka, MN

As a Tax Accountant, your focus will be on a variety of state income tax technology matters, including data management and analytics, systems implementation, and configuration, and reporting solution development and enhancement. You will also have opportunities to become involved with the federal and state income tax filing process, state controversy, and special projects. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide variety of tax matters including:

Primary Responsibilities:

• The use of emerging tax technology, including robotic process automation (RPA), cloud solutions, and business intelligence innovation
• Custom tax technology application development and deployment
• Tax function and strategy assessment
• Assist project teams with the resolution of application issues
• Create data visualizations, dashboards, and reports
• Support project teams with automation of existing and new processes
• The timely and accurate preparation of federal and state income tax returns and quarterly estimates
• Assist with tax controversy matters, including audits and notices

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent degree
• 1+ years of tax or accounting experience
• Experience with ONESOURCE Income Tax
• Exposure to data analysis
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ONESOURCE applications beyond Income Tax
• Experience with Domo or Alteryx
• Experience with UiPath
• Solid interest in technology and its use in business processes
• Ability to prioritize assignments and manage workload within statutory and internal deadlines
• Solid organizational and time management skills
• Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and monitoring them until completion, including documenting requirements, configuration, testing, debugging, tax systems, and process configuration
