As a Senior Configuration Testing Specialist, you'll drive vital projects that have strategic importance to make that mission a reality. You'll use your sharp business skills to assist in creating, controlling and improving business processes.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize testing efforts and set direction based on changing business needs
  • Set up test cases to determine if the components are configured correctly
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Consistently meet established deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned by manager and/or director

Sure, you'll need to diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions. The difficulty is in knowing the right questions to ask. You will solve complex problems as you serve as a resource to others on your elite team. You'll be expected to find better, more efficient ways of doing things and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of experience at a payor organization as claims auditor or senior claims processor (advanced level processing)
  • 3+ years of experience with professional and institutional claims
  • Facets claims experience at a payor organization
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Preferred Qualifcations:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Facets configuration experience
  • Coding experience with CPT, HCPCS, ICD10, Revenue, DRG or other relevant medical and industry standard claim payment codes
  • Experience building and running SQL queries using tools such as Microsoft Access, Query Builder, or similar
  • Knowledge of Medicare Pricing

  • Decision-Making Skills - capable of arriving at the appropriate decisions after weighing the pros and cons of all the options
  • Communication Skills - excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition be a good listener to give value to the opinion and suggestion of others
  • Accountability - Takes ownership of tasks, performance standard and quality results. Maintains necessary attention to detail to achieve high level performance
  • Problem Solving - Solution Driven Approach Skills - demonstrate ability to review problem, troubleshoot root cause issues and determine path to resolution
  • Flexible - Able to work effectively in a changing environment and contribute innovative ideas
  • Accuracy and Efficiency - Excellent time management and organizational skills balancing multiple priorities. Accurate when processing detailed tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Self-starter, able to independently, drive work and prioritize work with minimal oversight

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $26.15 to $46.63. The hourly range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $28.85 to $51.30. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
