Georgia-Pacific is currently searching for a Mechanical Designer to support the Broadway Mill operations located in Green Bay, WI. The Mechanical Designer supports the Project Engineering team and will focus on designing 3D piping for capital projects. This person would be responsible for working in a modeling program but will also be out on the floor taking measurements in the manufacturing environment.

Georgia-Pacific (GP), part of Koch Industries, has facilities throughout northeast Wisconsin that are considered critical operations for the company's long-term success. The Broadway mill is one of the largest wastepaper recycling operations in the world and recently celebrated its 100-year anniversary. It uses more than 430,000 tons of recovered wastepaper each year to produce paper products found in airports, hotels, restaurants, hospitals and schools.

What You Will Do In Your Role

Applying mechanical design techniques, procedures, and criteria to create all types of mechanical drawings, and 3D modeling.
Assist in generation of project documents.
Participate in project field work and support during installations.
Lead the design effort on assignments and clearly communicate status to manager and engineers.
Updating and managing mechanical drawings.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing facility
Create and develop piping drawings

The Experience You Will Bring

3+ years of design experience
Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Design OR in lieu of a degree, 5 years of design experience
3D piping modeling experience

What Will Put You Ahead

Five or more years of 3D piping modeling design experience
Experience leading independent design on capital projects
Experience using AutoCAD version 14
