Description

Georgia-Pacific is recruiting for a Consumer Research Leader at our Neenah Technical Center (NTC) in Neenah, WI. NTC is the central site for research, development, and lab services for Georgia-Pacific's North American Consumer Products business. Our consumer brands are household names throughout North America - Quilted Northern bath tissue, Brawny paper towels, Dixie plates and bowls, and many others. We also produce products such as enMotion towels and dispensers, Angel Soft bath tissue, and Quilt-Rap foodwrap for commercial markets. Many of the store-brands at your favorite retailers are our products too!We have a leadership opportunity in our Consumer Services team to research consumer perception, behavior, and preferences so product developers can unlock differentiation in their products and optimize the user experience, resulting in compelling claims and superior product performance. This position will be offered at a Manager or Director level, commensurate with your knowledge and experience. We are seeking an individual who can make an impact and then grow to greater levels of responsibility over time.

What You Will Do In Your Role

Designing and executing consumer learning studies against critical business questions, starting from initial scoping, through the proposal, bidding, data acquisition, analysis and reporting phases while masterfully managing the timelines and expectations of our customers
Leveraging a diverse range of research techniques bridging quantitative, qualitative, and trained panel approaches to deliver the most actionable insights. You will have the opportunity to identify novel consumer endpoints leveraging our internal sensory panel
Transforming data into insights to drive decisions. You will easily flow between generating simple cross-tabs for some customers to explaining advanced predictive data modeling to others.
Working closely with product designers to optimize user experiences, identify meaningful points of product differentiation, and translate those insights into market-relevant claims
Leading a team of consumer researchers, and looking for opportunities to grow the team and its influence within the organization

Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) or higher in Psychology, Data Analytics, Sensory Science, or Consumer Science
Experience and knowledge of consumer study design and analysis
Experience applying statistical software to data analysis and insight activities
Experience presenting plans and findings to a wide variety of stakeholders
At least three years of supervisory experience

What Will Put You Ahead

At least five years of experience in a role researching consumer attitudes and behaviors
At least five years of experience supervising consumer research teams, and especially if you have experience building/growing such teams
Experience leading groups of people through complex data analysis and interpretation
Advanced degree in Data Analytics, Experimental Psychology, or Consumer Science
Experience with consumer product development, insights, and/or marketing
