Area of expertise:

Work with Production, other Technicians, and Quality Engineers to complete Quality responsibilities: primarily Inspection, Calibration, Corrective Actions, and Production Processes. Computer technical ability, communication, and attention for details are key,

General responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Calibrations and Certifications
  • Facilitate Calibration program
  • Track and Run Calibration reports
  • Record and Analyze Data
  • Create & Run Reports for Quality Metrics
  • Work on Non-conforming Product: Disposition, Sort, Track, & Close
  • Implement ISO Process Audits
  • Backfill for RMA & Receiving Inspection
  • Assist in Process Improvement (Kaizens)
  • Update & Create Work Instructions, Quality Alerts, and Policies
  • Interface with ERP System (JD Edwards is a plus)
  • Use Systems in place to retain and improve order
  • Help with or hold regular Material Review Board Meetings

Typical education requirements:

  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • 3-7 years of related and successful work experience in Inspection or as Quality Tech

Qualifications:

  • GD&T Experience (ability to reads prints/drawings at minimum)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (plus)
  • ISO 9001 experience or similar
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office ( Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient communication, especially by e-mail
  • Experience working on Corrective Actions (CAPA)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to prioritize
  • Assisted or held Quality Meetings a plus
  • CMM and Vision System experience a plus
  • Experience with fire and safety products and markets a plus
  • Experience with a Manufacturing Enterprise Systems (MES) a plus (especially KwikTic)
