You ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of advanced storage engineers. This team focuses on project and maintenance activities in the enterprise storage arena, including design, procurement, installation, initial setup, and performance reporting
  • Work with business and technical entities to define and document business requirements
  • Interface with Leadership and Technical Support teams
  • Manage change requests that require storage involvement
  • Manage request queue for new or additional storage
  • Manage Incident ticket queues to ensure timely follow-up and resolution are completed
  • Manage special projects requiring data migrations
  • Coaching, mentoring, and evaluating team members, including formal performance appraisals

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of broad experience within Enterprise Storage Systems Management, including experience with storage arrays from Tier 1 vendors, storage networks, and fabrics
  • 5+ years of experience leading multiple large projects concurrently
  • 2+ years demonstrated systems analysis experience
  • 2+ years of experience addressing priority break/fix issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven success managing a team of 5+ people, including experience writing and delivering performance reviews, setting salary and bonus, and assisting employees with career development
  • Software engineering and/or application operations experience
  • Experience working in the Healthcare or Manufacturing industries is of value, but not necessarily
  • Knowledge of Optum Technology architecture and processes
  • Experience fostering teamwork and making decisions to drive action and collaboration.
  • Outstanding communication skills, evidenced by concise written status reports and the ability to negotiate and mediate across multiple parties
  • Experience supporting/collaborating with applicable teams to help plan storage capacity, and develop expansion plans as needed

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
