Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to gain understanding of their business needs and adapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
  • Lead and Develop People; manage professional employees by setting team direction, resolving problems and providing guidance to members of your team
  • Leverage diversity and inclusion to drive employee engagement and foster teamwork and collaboration
  • Demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior by complying with applicable laws, regulations and policies and requiring the same from others
  • Manage and ensure compliance with IT structures / processes / technologies
  • Maintain knowledge of and leverage IT industry / marketplace technologies and trends
  • Influence or provide input to forecasting and planning activities
  • Providing quality measures expertise to product teams in measure development
  • Creating methodology solutions based on healthcare data
  • Interfacing with Optum and UHC senior leadership, business analysts, quality analysts, project management, and developers regarding scope, roadmap, and implementation of quality measures
  • Communicating with customers of products using quality measures
  • Presenting at conferences, sales and internal training meetings
  • Managing team of quality measurement business analysts; providing day to day supervision of quality measurement development
  • Analyzing opportunities for product enhancement and improvement; proposing solutions
  • Creating marketing materials, white papers and sales support materials
  • Participating in product testing, validation and packaging activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within healthcare and working in large, complex, matrix organization
  • 5+ years of data analysis experience (including profiling) and source-to-target mapping (including complex business rules) of healthcare clinical and/or administrative data domains
  • 3+ years of experience with large data warehouse / big data projects
  • 3+ years of experience across all aspects of SDLC
  • 2+ years of experience with leading project teams or direct reports
  • Advance SQL experience/skill

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing and manipulating unstructured data
  • Rally (Agile development lifecycle application) experience
  • CMS (Medicare/Medicaid) data/business experience
  • Agile / Scrum SDLC methodology experience

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
