This is a part-time or temporary non-benefited position.

Description & Details:

The Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME) Department invites applications for a part-time, lecture position with an anticipated starting date of August 16, 2022. This position will be 100 percent teaching, for one class, IME 485, Facility Design. The successful candidate will develop and teach a class in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering that is described as " This course will focus on facilities planning with the emphasis on the design, analysis, and selection of manufacturing/service facilities. The topics of discussion will range from definition of facilities planning; role of product, process and schedule design on facilities planning; relationship among flow, space and activity."

Work Schedule:

T/TH from 2pm to 3:15pm

Advertised Pay:

$7000/semester

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in engineering related field of manufacturing and/or industrial engineering and 10 years of effective work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • BS in engineering related field of manufacturing and/or industrial engineering and 5 years of effective work experience in a manufacturing environment with a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • have excellent speaking and writing skills in English
  • have interest and an ability to interact and collaborate effectively with a diversity of colleagues and students

Preferred Qualifications:
  • hold a MS in industrial or manufacturing engineering or closely related
  • prior teaching experience
  • experience in facility design
