Job Details

The Audit Manager role is responsible for organizing and managing client assignments and projects, including the completion of assignment tasks and project components as well as coaching, advising, and directing team members in meeting client and self-development expectations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manages multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring overall success of each project.
  • Identifies client s needs and opportunities in order to sell/cross-sell products or services.
  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively.
  • Team with Partners on proposals and business development calls.
  • Understand and manage firm risk on audits and proposals.
  • Manage, develop, train and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagements and mid-year and year-end reviews.
  • Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
  • Successfully directs and maintains a motivated and empowered work team.
  • Develops an understanding of the business.
  • Seeks to gain knowledge of client businesses.
  • Participates in firm wide initiatives - recruitment, marketing, etc.
  • Actively supports new initiatives.
  • Develops deeper knowledge and skills in technical field, both on the job and through formal learning channels

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience with emphasis in:
  • Auditing for a variety of industries
  • Leading the audit team
  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting
  • Current CPA
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Team management skills - the ability to coach, motivate, and direct a team of people
  • Team player with a positive "can-do" attitude
  • Creative problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
