SUMMARY

Silverspot s Corporate Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for configuring and deploying any new network/data center equipment across all of the theaters along with managing and monitoring the existing units. Examples of these units are Firewalls, Switches, WAPs, Windows Servers, VMware. The infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for configuring and managing critical services such as ADDC, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VoIP, RDP, Backup Solutions, Disaster recovery solutions, and contingency plans. Must have working experience with firewall Fortinet. Provide recommendations on cybersecurity and risk planning, policy development, and best practices. The role will report to the Corporate IT Director.

The Infrastructure Engineer is smart, highly skilled, and self-motivated, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

  1. Objective: Standardize LAN, WAN, and Wireless configuration
  1. Activity: Understand Silverspot network topology and application workflows.
  2. Activity: Create documentation for critical business application workflows.
  3. Activity: Create policies and standards to support changes and scalability.
  4. Activity: Create assessment and recommendations for network improvements.
  5. Activity: Create a project timeline for the execution of the assessment plan.
  6. Activity: Create a Maintenance and Patching plan.
  7. Activity: Test systems and network for bugs/errors /issues for new or existing features.
  8. Activity: Troubleshoot processes and report expectations to ensure consistent support for end-users.

2. Objective: Create a disaster recovery and contingency plan

  1. Activity: Create plan synopsis and objective outline.
  2. Activity: Create risk assessment planning.
  3. Activity: Present plan for approval.
  4. Activity: Plan execution.
  5. Activity: Constant integrity check and monitoring.

3. Objective: Standardize Windows Active Directory structure and services.

  1. Activity: Understand Silverspot users and group distribution.
  2. Activity: Create documentation for further analysis and troubleshooting.
  3. Activity: Create policies and standards to support changes and scalability.
  4. Activity: Create assessments and recommendations.
  5. Activity: Create a project timeline for the execution of the assessment plan.


4. Objective: Manage and Monitor the health of the Datacenters.

  1. Activity: Create assessments and recommendations for the current technology.
  2. Activity: Create policies and standards to support changes and scalability.
  3. Activity: Create a project timeline for the execution of the assessment plan.
  4. Activity: Manage tool for monitoring infrastructure.
  5. Activity: Develop a Maintenance and Patching plan.

5. Objective: Develop and manage Cybersecurity strategy.

  1. Activity: Create assessments and recommendations for the current cybersecurity measures and procedures.
  2. Activity: Risk assessment planning.
  3. Activity: Monitor risk profile and update periodically.
  4. Activity: Development mitigation plans in case of attacks

JOB REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES):

  • 5 + years managing firewalls and technology infrastructure; experience with Microsoft Server Operating systems.
  • Bachelor s Degree in information technology, computer science engineer, or related field from an accredited university or equivalent work experience and certification
  • Fortinet NSE 6 Certification is required.
  • Windows Server administration certification preferred.
  • Experience with successful Agile techniques.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Remote position (work remotely and also will require travel)
  • Hybrid is optional and can work from any of our locations
  • Work in front of a computer screen for a long period of time
  • Hand dexterity; use of computer for long periods of time
  • Walking, standing with some frequency
  • Travel- up to 25- 30%.
  • Monday- Friday (9 am - 6 pm) but may have to work irregular or long hours, and be on call/MOD ;Have flexibility to answer critical issues on weekend or off-hours is key.

Hiring Bonus - $750 at 30 days and $750 at 90 days
