Summary:

A world-leading forensic engineering and consulting firm is looking to hire a Forensics Civil/Structural Engineer. Duties in this key position involve the investigation and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial properties for the purpose of resolving claims and legal disputes. Assignments may include foundation settlement investigations, structural assessments, storm related damages, site evaluations, sub-surface investigations and vibration analysis as well as preparing oral and written reports that document causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation. In some cases, you may also provide opinions and expert testimony. Other duties include gathering photographic evidence, conducting investigations to document onsite conditions and oversight of field-testing.

The candidate can be located in any city in Wisconsin.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Architecture and higher.
P.E. required for engineers.
6+ yrs. of experience.
Project Management and/or Field Investigation desired.
Must have high level of analytical skills. Work requires continual attention to detail with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interact and communicate with clients at all levels (e.g. internal and external).
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Applications and computer assisted engineering and design software.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical reports or journals, financial reports and legal documents.
Capable of effectively presenting information to top management, clients, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Employee is frequently required to stand, walk on slope roofs, sit, climb ladders, bend, climb inside attics and crawl under structures and tunnels, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to job sites. Employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary.
