As a Regulatory Affairs Analyst (RAA), you will be an individual contributor in our Legal, Regulatory Affairs and Compliance group. You will support UnitedHealthcare's regulatory filing responsibilities for provider contracts. The RAA will also support regular internal department reporting and provide recommendations to enhance processes.

You ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Navigate /collaborate with internal business owners to gather required operational information for regulatory provider agreement filings
  • Prepare and file regulatory documents by established due dates
  • Maintain detailed documentation for assigned regulatory filings and provide explanation as required to business partners/leaders
  • Investigate non-standard requests and problems
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on what documents are required to be filed
  • Triage operational and product issues relating to provider contracts from business partners/leaders

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in a health care, managed care and/or health insurance
  • 3+ years of experience with claims processing, regulatory affairs, compliance, or reimbursement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience responding to inquiries from a variety of stakeholders (regulators and internal business partners/leaders)
  • Experience with health insurance regulatory filing/reporting
  • Experience communicating complex information via phone conversations and emails to internal business partners/leaders and regulators
  • Experience with UHC business areas and products
  • Basic understanding of provider contracts
  • Solid project management experience
  • UHG organizational, system and product knowledge
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and SERFF (System for Electronic Rates & Forms Filing)
  • Managed care, and/or compliance expertise
  • Solid analytical, problem solving, decision-making and time management skills; ability to exercise sound judgment, including when to escalate or seek guidance
  • Ability to work independently as work is generally self-directed; RAA works independently to gather required data and/or information for submission to regulator(s)
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid research skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet multiple hard deadlines
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with peers to share best practices

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
