ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean and maintain building floor surfaces, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and spot cleaning. Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines, and other equipment (e.g. dust, wash, vacuum, polish. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean and supply restrooms. May move furniture, light fixtures, or other items manually. May extract carpet (small jobs.) Monitor and report facility issues requiring repairs to Office Manager. Monitor building security and safety (locking doors when completed). Report supply requisitions to Office Manager on a timely basis. Complete deep cleaning task and special projects as needed. Perform minor repair/replacement.s Assist with set-up for church functions.
- Execute proper use of all equipment. Clean and maintain cleaning equipment (rags, mops, machines, tools, buckets). Prepare cleaning solutions (water, detergents, and other chemicals) according to specifications. Must be dependable, honest, strong work ethic, motivated, professional appearance and hygiene, communication skills, team player. Must be a good steward of the facilities. Participate in monthly staff meetings. Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Custodial/housekeeping or comparable experience is a plus Must pass a background check (daycare requirement)
- Requires standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and stretching. Requires coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate all cleaning equipment. Requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Prompt and dependable attendance.
