General Laborer - 2nd Shift

Starting Wage: $22.17 per hour!

No Experience is Required!

Shift Details:

2nd Shift: Mondays - Thursdays, 3:45pm - 3:30am; Fridays, 3:45pm - 8:45pm

General Laborers employed at Veritas Steel's Wausau location are responsible for grinding, drilling, shop clean-up, and miscellaneous tasks as assigned. They must be able to meet high production demands in a timely manner and complete high-quality work with expertise. General Laborers must also adhere to company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Uses proper safety equipment to ensure surfaces are adequately prepared for all operations
Maintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety
Coordinates with shop supervisor and other personnel for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently, on time, and with no defects
Assists others as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
Adheres to safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and surrounding coworkers
Performs other related duties, as assigned, to maintain a steady flow of products through the shop and to ensure an efficient and effective work environment

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift 40 lbs. and carry 30 lbs.
Must be able to push /move objects up to 50 lbs. of force
Pulling requirements up to 122 lbs. of force
Necessary to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel up to 66% of shift
Must have a good range of motion when reaching forward, shoulder to overhead, and bending
Agile fingers and thumbs on both hands

Working Conditions:

Work is performed indoors in a large warehouse or outside in all weather conditions
There is regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, heavy steel & other possible hazardous conditions
Safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots are required; respirator required for specific operations
