Position Overview:


Creative Automation is a world leader in custom automation for the woodworking and related industries. This exciting position provides an outstanding individual the opportunity to design, program and implement control systems for a wide array of automation. You will be challenged and rewarded on a daily basis!


Responsibilities:

  • Work with the mechanical engineers to understand machine function
  • Specify all control hardware including: PLC's, HMI's, servos, VFD's, sensors, pneumatics, safety components, networking, vision
  • Build bill of materials
  • Design control schematic with AutoCAD
  • Ladder logic programming of PLC's
  • HMI development
  • Servo sizing and control
  • System integration with other machinery manufacturers
  • In house testing and customer runoff
  • Interaction with customers throughout the design, build and installation processes
  • Travel to customer facility for start up as required, 15% travel
  • Technical support


Qualifications:

  • BSEE or associate degree in related field
  • Rockwell CompactLogix programming experience
  • AutoCAD
  • Project management
  • Creativity and problem solving skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
