Job Description

Primary Purpose Of Position

Responsible for providing support to project leadership during the design phase as it relates to customer experience, financial performance, schedule, estimating, design and planning that results in a smooth transition to construction operations.

Key Result Areas (Essential Functions)

  1. Support the project team in achieving scope and budget alignment, schedule alignment, an integrated team experience, construction readiness, and excellent financial performance
  2. Assist with establishing and managing project budget and scope expectations, budget trending logs, and any associated communications and resources
  3. Craft and manage project schedules and key milestones, hold team members accountable for reaching set milestones
  4. Assist in regulatory approval and permitting process
  5. Assist in the preparation of bid packages and contract manuals
  6. Support bid analysis and subcontractor selection
  7. Identify technical design and specification concerns, escalate as needed to achieve resolution
  8. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  9. All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  1. Detail orientation sufficient to organize and run multiple project tasks
  2. Shown positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
  3. Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies to employees and outside parties effectively
  4. Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  5. Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
  6. Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  7. Ability to travel up to 100%

Educationa And Expirience Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, or equivalent field
  2. Minimum two years of relevant experience
