Summary

The Quality Systems Manager is a champion for Quality within the organization and focuses primarily on driving compliance to the standards ULG is certified to: ISO13485, ISO9001 and ISO17100. The Quality Systems Manager identifies, develops, and implements quality systems and process improvement initiatives to drive client satisfaction working as an individual, within the Quality team and with other departments.


Essential Duties + Responsibilities

??? Manage and develop quality initiatives -to meet key deliverables / targets, customer expectations, revenue, and profitability.

??? Manage and maintain the quality management system in line with ISO 9001, ISO13485, ISO17100 and any other client requirements.

??? Continuously create awareness of quality systems and processes by training, coaching, and supporting employees on their responsibilities in line with ULG processes and client expectations.

??? Engage with local stakeholders and vendors to identify quality improvement areas; propose solutions and implement.

??? Perform regular audits to ensure adherence to the Quality System and coach employees when required.

??? Manage 3rd party QMS surveillance/recertification audits, customer audits and participate in other external party meetings (supporting Sales and Operations) as needed, to ensure thorough understanding and satisfaction with the ULG Quality System.

??? Keep up to date with any quality standards, regulations, or forums relevant to the Translation & Localization industry and to ULG. Maintains and shares up-to-date knowledge of quality and process trends in the industry.

??? Provide training and support to employees during set up of any new workflow processes.

??? Identifies critical quality risks that may require immediate action and supports the Corrective Action and Preventative Action process as required.

??? Defines quality metrics, targets, control mechanisms and manages their measurement via Six Sigma and other process methodologies.

??? Takes the Manager on quality issues at client/project meetings and is the escalation point for issues that impact on the customer experience.

??? Identifies opportunities for process improvements.

??? Manages and coaches direct reports, as appropriate, in line with Quality Objectives.

??? Other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time.


Education, Experience + Skills

??? Degree preferred, ideally in Engineering, Science or Quality.

??? 5-8 years experience in a quality role within a highly focused manufacturing or service environment.

??? Excellent presentation and communication skills with previous experience of engaging with clients / customers on quality matters.

??? Internal Lead Auditor qualification is advantageous.

??? Knowledge and experience of the translation and localization industry is desirable.

??? Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other problem-solving methodologies.

??? Ability to multi-task in a time sensitive, deadline driven work environment and experience in staying cool under pressure.

??? Flexible to changing work requirements.
