OVERVIEW

The Building Engineer Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring site reliability and maintenance completion. They will support the building manager with process improvement and team planning tasks while also helping to operate and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial equipment and large building systems such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, HVAC, Chilled Water Systems, Boilers, Air Handler Units, Building Automation Systems, Fire Controls and other building systems.

This role is 1st shift. Typical hours are from 6am to 2pm with ability to provide overnight and weekend support on a rotating schedule.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for overall health and reliability of major building systems
Lead and coordinate weekly maintenance activities for self and team
Foster a collaborative team environment, sharing across locations and shifts
Responsible for PM activity distribution and delivering against monthly service targets
First point of contact for critical building issues and timely resolution
Preventative and reactive maintenance; troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve operational and building safety concerns
Coordinate maintenance work provided by vendor partners; both for equipment warranty, preventive and corrective work; inspect completed repairs to ensure proper operation
Support or lead special projects related to improvement of building operations and efficiencies
Knowledge and use of Building Automation for equipment monitoring and controls
Basic plumbing knowledge with ability to complete repairs such as plumbing fixture, drain maintenance, and valve repair/replacement
Inspection and Maintenance of caf??/kitchen equipment
Manage vendors and maintenance of elevators, fire life safety devices, UPS and other systems
Provide input on capital and expense projects; obtain and compare estimates for work to be performed by outside vendors
Ensure that all customer complaints are handled professionally and in a timely manner
On-going team training and team schedule planning
Conduct monthly safety observations
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of HVAC/R or Facilities Maintenance program from accredited school
Minimum 10 years' experience in facilities/maintenance role or similar work on HVAC/refrigeration equipment
2nd Class C Minnesota State Boiler License (or working toward license)
Basic computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, Smartphone)
Independent and team work, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work at heights using ladders or similar tools
Ability to lift, push, pull or move a minimum of 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines
Participate in On-Call rotation schedule as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Universal CFC Certification
Maintenance Electrician License
Knowledge of work order process or management tool
