A new software conversion to SolidWorks from AutoCAD is on the horizon. There is no travel associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
  • Designing schematics for electrical control panels 99% of the time
  • Designing custom machinery
  • Designing alternative and/or replacement parts for existing equipment
  • Aiding in the development of the generation of controls from the ground floor
  • Participating in the design of electrical systems and control systems
  • Verifying customer specifications are met in the designs produced
  • Verifying designs meet codes, regulations and best practices
  • Working with purchasing for part availability and cost
  • The background of the successful candidate must include:

  • A four year degree in electrical engineering
  • Two or more years of electrical engineering experience with SolidWorks Electrical software
  • Two or more years of experience designing schematics for electrical control panels
  • Familiarity with current electrical engineering trends
  • An innovative mindset
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
