Manufacturing Plant design, layouts this role is 70% Design, 10% Organization of Engineer archives, 20%Floor layout and implementation of equipment!

Job Details

4-8 years as a mechanical/design engineer in manufacturing/industrial setting
HVAC, Piping, Machinery, flow and workspace orientation
Solid works, Inventor, Mastercam experience required!
Highly organized and detail oriented!

  • Looking for an manufacturing or mechanical engineer (department of 1 reports directly to the plant manager). Someone with expereince in Raw to finished goods, conversion, conveyors, blenders, and press.

Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new equipment installations
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design work
  • Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components
  • Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
  • Utilize experience in calculation of air flow, hydraulic systems, and equipment power to direct fabrication specifications or product recommendations
  • Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes
  • Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Collaborate with production team, and work with vendors and contractors
  • Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget, ensures all equipment is ordered and onsite in accordance with project timeline
  • As needed, acts as a liaison between the organization and 3rd party contractors that assist with fabrication, supply procurement, or consultations.

Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field
  • 5-7+ years of experience working in Engineering
  • Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products
  • Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly within all levels of the organization
  • Must be self-motivated and a great team player
