For over 75 years Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry and our community. Located in scenic northwestern Wisconsin just 90 miles from Minneapolis, RLWS offers big city careers in a small-town atmosphere. We need to add a full-time Human Resources Assistant to our team at our corporate headquarters in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, to support our growth and development.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Assistant performs a wide variety of administrative and service related functions that include, but are not limited to, the following: receiving visitors and guests, providing daily administrative support for key executives, HRIS data entry & reporting, maintains confidential files and records, completes independent project work, assist walk-in and call-in candidates, processes applicant and employment forms, administer pre-employment testing program, enters benefit enrollment information and changes, supports unemployment and workers compensation compliance, assists with payroll functions as required, orders supplies, processes various mailings, constructs informational packets (training, benefits & new hire), runs errands as needed, supports employee relations activities (inside and outside of normal working hours), and backup/overflow for phone reception. This is a dynamic position that supports the HR and Accounting departments, several key executives, the business owners and will assist with other projects and activities throughout the business. This position requires that all communications are professional, often confidential and consistent with RLWS policies. The Human Resources Assistant provides consistent service from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to ensure all internal and external customer expectations are exceeded.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred
  • Candidates with at least five (5) years of related experience or equivalent qualifications will be given preference.
  • The selected person will have outstanding general computer skills (including MS Word, Outlook and Excel), high-volume data entry experience and must be able to type at least 60 words per minute; ADP WorkforceNow experience would be a big plus. Ability to handle multiple projects and frequent interruptions.
  • The selected candidate will be professional in appearance, demeanor, diction, manners, verbal and written communication.
  • Position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment receiving direction from multiple sources, extreme attention to detail and uncompromising commitment to confidentiality.
