This is a Full-Time 40 Hours Weekly position with the Department of Human Services. For more information on the Department of Human Services, please visit

Conducts a wide variety of audits and reviews of financial information for providers of the Department of Human Service's different programs. This includes but is not limited to; Community Support Providers, Nursing Home, Assisted Living, and sub-recipient monitoring for the various agencies that receive Federal Grants through the Department of Human Services. The position is also responsible for Internal reviews of various programs within the Department of Human Services. This is done to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal rules and policies concerning the different programs provided by the Department.

Some travel is required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Auditing, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge of:

generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP);
standards and practices and generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS);
Government auditing standards and Governmental accounting practices; and
analytical and problem-solving techniques.

Ability to:

gather, analyze and appraise facts;
deal tactfully with others;
apply basic auditing techniques;
apply rules and regulations to information;
organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines and follow up with minimal direction;
use initiative and independent judgment;
handle confidential information with discretion;
use a computer and applicable software; and
apply common sense understanding to assignments.
