Job Details

CNC Programmer/Toolmaker (Class B)
Schedule: M-Th 6am-4:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Must be a trade school graduate in machining technology, with 2 years CNC experience, or 4 years CNC programming and machining experience, in a toolroom or prototype setting.
  • Experience in Mastercam is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to understand and follow directions and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to move between job functions in an efficient and well prioritized manner.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and as a team member to achieve common goals.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the OTP quality assurance system.
  • Complete required training and attend any mandatory meetings.

JOB FUNCTIONS -Core Competencies:
  • Setup and operate toolroom equipment needed to build, repair, revise and service molds, fixtures and related tools in a correct and timely manner.
  • Working knowledge of programming, setting-up and operating 3 axis CNC mills.

Includes: Work piece holding and pick-up. Loading tools and tool pick-up. Loading, running and editing programs.
  • Basic offline programming from CAD models and drawings.
  • Responsible that assigned projects are completed within the quoted time and material limits.
  • Complete and maintain any department related paperwork or electronic data in an orderly and timely manner.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the OTP quality assurance system.
  • Complete forklift operator training and participate in forklift operator evaluations every 3 years.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required training and attend mandatory meetings

  • Work independently and with limited supervision.
  • Follow all safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
