Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will provide support for your team in completing customer project development tasks. This support includes project scope definition and costing, design formulation and release, production support, factory checkout and customer installation and service support.

Example responsibilities include electrical system design and implementation of MTS test controller, 3rd party components (PLC, Drives, etc ), instrumentation, data acquisition and safety system design.

Major Areas Of Accountability
  • Accepts responsibility for assigned tasks and displays the ability to manage electrical portions of the project including technical and schedule management
  • Develop concepts and designs that meet or exceed the system's cost and performance goals. Including concepts and design generation to support of pre-sale pursuits.
  • Act as the lead for electrical/controls work for assigned subsystems. Reviews progress & evaluate results.
  • Provide technical support for internal and external customers.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interfaces with vendors of electrical components, key development tools and technologies. Supports efforts to develop digital communication and third-party interfaces as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: BS deg. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering

Years of relevant experience: 5 yrs. of progressively demanding project/design experience

Travel requirements: Expected travel averaging less than 10%, domestic and international.

Must possess a valid driver s license and able to obtain automobile/liability coverage

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with leading PLC and Electric Drive brands and with System Safety design considerations.
