The Rivers is an Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care community located in Burnsville, Minnesota is excited to share we are looking for outgoing and energetic Maintenance Technician to join our team! What does our Maintenance Technician do?
Performs routine building maintenance tasks as assigned
Prepares and organizes materials and equipment
Cleans and maintains tools and equipment
Provide assistance to the Housekeeping team, on occasion, with projects such as carpet/floor cleaning or moving furniture
Report needed repairs or replacements of equipment and tools to their supervisor
Makes notes of any problems found, or residents' comments, and turns them in daily to the supervisor
Respond to building emergencies during any time on or off-shift
Provide assistance to the Housekeeping team, on occasion, with projects such as carpet/floor cleaning or moving furniture
Take note of supplies running low or in need or replacement and reports it to the supervisor
Performs daily rounds and check of various safety systems as assigned, including completing related record keeping
Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities
What we're looking for from you:
Requirement: At least 18 years of age
Education: A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Experience: Previous additional specialized training or work experience, other experience in a senior living community or hospitality setting is not required, but is highly desired!
Physical Ability: Must be able to work in different physical positions to complete tasks, while providing a variety of physically demanding, maintenance-related tasks inside and outside of the building. Must have good manual dexterity and the ability to work with tools and equipment
Team Work: Must work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team with the desire and ability to solve problems, have initiative, and be willing to work flexible hours
Excellent Attitude: An upbeat, fun, outgoing personality and can-do attitude
Superb Communication: Must be able to follow oral and written directions and instruction
Customer Service: Must relate successfully to others with excellent customer service skills
