Internal Auditor (Standards & Methodology)

Job Description

As the Internal Auditor for standards and methodology, you will be a key member of the audit team in monitoring and delivering audits for both venues and corporate functions (including IT) and maintaining the departmental standards across the team.

Helping to inform Senior Management about the effectiveness and associated risks of various aspects of the business and facilitate operating improvements to help the business achieve its revenue and growth objectives and deliver excellent customer experiences.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Acting as the administrator for the department, including:

Managing the audit support tool, MK Insights (MK) including the report issues and monitoring of recommendations.
Maintaining GIA departmental standards, including completing comprehensive reviews and quality assessment of reports.
Producing monthly reports (BIR) of recommendations due/overdue to send to business owners.
Supporting GIA reporting to key committees, e.g., Audit Committee and Risk Committee.
Creating ad-hoc presentations, e.g., common themes, report feedback statistics.
Providing support to the team for travel, meetings, invoice processing.

Deliver audit assignments to contribute to the completion of the annual audit plan, including:

Working with key stakeholders to scope audits to meet Management's needs and react to ad-hoc risk assurance requests.
Performing audits to high quality through adherence to Methodology and Standards with the potential to lead assignments and provide support on others.
Raising of key issues on a timely basis for actioning.
Supporting business process owners in implementing improvement plans to ensure that improvements are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
