Primary Responsibilities

The CADD Designer will work within HDR's Industrial Sector - Oil, Gas and Chemicals program, reporting to the Rockies O&G Section Manager. The primary responsibilities will be focused on the integration of various software packages to streamline coordination and produce design drawings for Oil, Gas and Chemicals design projects. The role will include the use of Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Plant 3D, Alignment Sheet Generation Tools, and efficient coordination between them. The CADD Designer will be required to think critically and apply industry accepted BIM principles and best management practices to develop detailed, site-specific, drawings for various Oil, Gas and Chemicals applications individually and/or under the direction of the CADD Lead/ Engineer. The CADD Designer will often be required to process and integrate Civil Survey data into various drawings.

The CADD Designer will aid in the collaboration between multiple project discipline teams and software platforms ensuring model coordination is optimal throughout the project life cycle. At times, the role will include responsibilities for supporting other business groups within the broader HDR organization, specifically general pipeline design initiatives to meet project deadlines for the Oil, Gas and Chemicals Team. The CADD Designer will conduct quality assurance audits of models, files, and data to ensure quality, integrity, and accuracy on all projects.
