Primary accountabilities for the Senior Accountant are to oversee and maintain the company's general ledger activities, ensure on-time and accurate periodic financial reporting, ensure compliance with the company's financial policies and procedures, and manage functional duties including general accounting, fixed asset maintenance, and any other accounting finance projects as necessary.

Manage the Treasury and Banking duties within the Company
Manage Audit and Tax compliance

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain company general ledger and manage month-end close

Maintain company general ledger and chart of accounts.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly close process and subsequent reporting.
Process timely journal entries and ensure accuracy of all revenues and expenses in line with company policies and procedures.
Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations.

Ensure on-time and accurate periodic financial reporting and compliance

Prepare key internal controls and accruals in collaboration with Director of Finance, prepare schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis and audit as required.
Collaborate with finance team members and others as needed regarding internal processes and controls, reporting, and maintenance of GL as required.

Manage the Treasury and Banking duties within the Company

Manage the cash forecasting process utilizing key financial data to drive cash viability.
Manage the locational banking duties including bank transaction processing, management of the banking credit card transactions and card assignments.
Other Accounting/Finance duties or projects as necessary.

Manage Audit and Tax Compliance

Manage and coordinate all financial audits ensuring all submissions are accurate and deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Prepare various tax filings, annual reports, and licensing.
Act as the primary liaison with tax and audit consultants throughout the year.

Skills & Knowledge

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years accounting and/or finance experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Must be collaborative, analytical with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates a strong customer service mentality
Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented with the ability to work with minimum direction
Creative problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred

Manufacturing or consumer products experienced
Master's degree
CPA or CMA
Experience with Macola ERP system
